With an extensive and impressive background having been involved in fire for 25 years, Ross has worked in numerous senior positions within fire safety, training, and operations; in the military and the local authority.
He now heads up our Global Technical Services division, focusing on Quality, Competence and Compliance.
Bruce has worked for the Tyne & Wear Fire and Rescue Service for almost 20 years, from Fire Fighter, progressing to Fire Engineer, he headed up the commercial arm of the Fire Service in Newcastle. Bruce brings pragmatism and dynamic mitigations, to improve understanding for clients and colleagues alike.
Bruce also has the Level 6 Award in External Wall Systems.
Iain brings over 13 years of dedicated fire engineering experience with a proven track record leading diverse projects and teams across the UK and internationally.
Iain has a pragmatic approach and the ability to improve understanding for all stakeholders. His role involves leading fire analyses and risk assessments and presenting them to clients and authorities.
Stuart has extensive experience and knowledge in both fire engineering and fire and building surveying.
Based in the beautiful country of Scotland, Stuart works closely with our Scottish clients as well as working nationwide providing his knowledge and expertise to a variety of projects across sectors.
Andreas, with over 22 years in civil engineering, has a rich background including a six-year consultancy role in UK’s built environment industries. Currently finalising his chartered engineer status at the Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE), he is known for his approachable style in façade engineering.
With over 16 years of experience as a Principal Partner in both architecture and building quality control, Begoña offers a unique and comprehensive understanding of project delivery at all the RIBA stages. Begoña brings a meticulous eye for detail and a commitment to rigorous compliance, ensuring quality and safety from design through to completion.
David is responsible for the strategic leadership, development, and execution of advanced active fire protection systems tailored for high-risk and complex environments throughout the UK.
He is responsible for overseeing the full lifecycle of solutions – from concept, system design, and specification through to installation, commissioning, and client handover – ensuring best-in-class performance and compliance with UK fire safety standards.
Sam Travis-Cavell is a Chartered Mechanical Engineer and Head of Building Environments at Global Technical Services, leading sustainable, safety-focused construction design with advanced thermal and flow modelling, BIM, and building physics. He mentors and builds high-performing teams, integrating innovative digital tools to optimise energy performance and efficiency well before project realisation.
Jody has worked in Technical Management for over 25 years, managing multimillion-pound projects and large teams of people. His specialisms are in drywall, fire barriers and fire-stopping, with extensive knowledge of the built environment. He supports our client base and colleagues with detailed knowledge and practical solutions to passive fire-related issues.
